Book an Appointment
NEW CLIENTS: Welcome! We require all new clients to book in for a free 15-minute virtual Initial Consultation. Please select the therapist of your choice to bring up their schedule. If they have no availability, please add yourself to their wait-list and either they or our admin will be in touch shortly.
We also ask for credit card information at the end of your booking. If this creates a barrier to your booking experience, then please send us an email at admin@christinajaniga.com to let us know you would like to book an Initial Consultation.
To add yourself to the wait-list, select the therapist of your choice which will bring up their booking page. Pick the session of your choice from the left-hand side of the page (Initial Consultation). When the therapist calendar appears, just below it you will see “Can’t find a time? Add yourself to the wait list.” Click on this and complete the requested information. Once added to the wait-list, the therapist will be in touch to schedule you in. Please note: Christina’s waitlist can be extensive at times and your request will be forwarded to her interns to follow up and explore needs, help answer any questions, and options for next steps and/or referrals.
EMDR INTENSIVE PROGRAM (offered through individual and group): Our EMDR therapists are Christina, Justine, and Natalie. Our initial consultations are provided by a general EMDR intensive program screening. This is completed by any of our therapists on our team, reviewed by Christina, and then followed up with recommendations, next steps, and/or referrals. Please indicate that you are looking for EMDR therapy services or EMDR intensive program when booking your initial consultation.
RETURNING CLIENTS: Please select your therapist of your choice to bring up their schedule. If they have no availability, please add yourself to their wait-list and they will be in touch shortly!

Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is based on a therapeutic relationship between client and therapist. It focuses on helping you identify negative beliefs, emotions, and behaviours that interfere with your life. Through psychotherapy, you can learn new skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and process difficult emotions.
Our primary role as psychotherapists is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for you to be heard and understood. Our other role is to guide you through mental health difficulties and provide you with the tools, resources, strategies, and insight you need to make personal changes happen. Together, we find ways for you to understand, address, and overcome psychological struggles so that you can grow, develop, and get back to doing the things you love.
EMDR Intensive Program
For some people, weekly therapy sessions are helpful and fit into their lifestyle and budget, but if seeing a therapist over the course of months isn’t a good fit for you, EMDR Intensive therapy offers an alternative. Having longer, more in-depth sessions, over the course of a few days is now an option if you don’t have time to do therapy in a more traditional model. To learn more information about EMDR Intensives, please see our website: www.christinajaniga.com or contact us: admin@christinajaniga.com
EMDR Group Therapy
EMDR Groups are a safe and confidential space for participants to sit alongside others who have also survived traumatic events. Witnessing others’ strengths and resources as well as our own can inspire hope, motivation and validation. Being seen and heard are often essential components of trauma recovery. **Trauma events are not shared with other group participants, and each participant engages in confidential and individual EMDR in the group.**
Psychotherapy (Reduced Rate)
Psychotherapy (reduced rate) sessions are provided by student interns who are currently completing their requirements for a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and are Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) and supervised by Christina Janiga. These sessions can provide supportive counselling for a number of different issues including: Depression, Anxiety, Women’s Issues (including perinatal, postpartum, infertility, and loss) and difficult life transitions.
EMDR Consultation - For Therapists only
EMDR consultation focuses on the mastery and integration of standard EMDR therapy in practice. The consultant and consultee are expected to operate within the ethical standards and scope of practice of their respective professional licenses. The intended purpose of consultation is for the consultant to provide guidance and feedback to the consultee regarding their use of standard EMDR therapy with clients. Consultation is not supervision. The consultant’s primary responsibility is to evaluate the consultee’s ability to implement the standard EMDR therapy’s eight phase protocol, three-pronged approach.
